LKAB Minerals is part of the Swedish State owned mining company LKAB, supplying upgraded Iron Ore Pellets to the steel industry. In 2020, LKAB announced its strategy to become carbon dioxide emission free from its processes and products by 2045. MagnaDense, originating from Sweden, is a natural high density aggregate which can provide concrete densities of up to 4 t/m3, thus reducing the overall footprint of a project & the need for expensive piling and formwork. Oscrete

Oscrete is one of the UK's leading specialist construction chemical suppliers which manufactures and supplies a range of concrete admixtures for precast and ready-mix concrete and the ready-to-use mortar industries. The Yorkshire-based business manufactures a range of high performance super-plasticising admixtures, waterproofing agents and products to control moisture damage in construction.

The company was formed in 1983 when new markets were found for the oil and surfactant products made by its parent company and laundry detergent manufacturer, Christeyns. Oscrete rapidly developed products for precast concrete, ready-mix concrete and mortar, leading to the growth of the brand as a specialised, high performance concrete admixtures producer.

In 2004 Oscrete launched Osperse performance additives (OPA) to facilitate its growth as a leading supplier of speciality additives for use in the manufacture of dry silo mortars and dry bagged products. In 2016, Oscrete's Irish distribution partner for admixtures and additives, Adcrete, was brought into the Christeyns fold and in 2022, Oscrete "relaunched" as a new standalone company within the Christeyns group. At the end of 2023, Oscrete completed a deal to secure a 90% shareholding of Adcrete.

Nulla Carbo Fabrica

Nulla Carbo Fabrica, formed in 2023, is a new trading name of E&M Construction Services Limited. Founded in 2007 by ICT member of council, Martyn Fear, E&M traded as the prestigious Specialist Precast Products brand until 2023. Following his passion for sustainable innovation, Martyn shifted the company's focus in order to develop a new, low carbon activator that can be used with non-conforming Fly Ash. Incorporating knowledge gained from becoming a Circular Economy Innovation Champion, through NCF, Martyn and his team are aiming to bring NCF "Local-Global" by creating truly Net Zero construction solutions for the future.

The Quality Scheme for Ready Mixed Concrete

QSRMC was established in 1984 as a not-for-profit certification body and has close links with the Institute of Concrete Technology. QSRMC certification provides an effective means of controlling risks to the product through comprehensive assessments by concrete technologists who understand the requirements of the producers and their customers. This ensures that certification is relevant to the product and adds value to the process. QSRMC certification combines ISO 9001 quality and product conformity certification in one seamless process allowing certified companies to use a recognised certification mark for ready-mixed concrete. QSRMC certification also provides recognition that certified companies have achieved the highest technical standards within the industry.
